Our "Fixed-Format" Pricing

Fixed-format books take many shapes.  They can range from books for Museums, like "Strings Attached," or to Kids' books--what we used to think of as "Kids' Picture Books."  Before you review our pricing, you may wish to check out our articles on what Fixed-Format is, what it does, how it works, and the pros and cons of using that format. For some books, like Kids Picture Books or Comics, there's really no alternative, but many titles that can be made in reflowable format. But if you have a Fixed-Format title, we can assist you!  Below is our pricing, broken out into three different tables, for your convience.

The first table is for Kids' books, the most popular form of Fixed-Format. In some columns, you'll see "N/A," which means that a feature isn't available to self-publishers at this time. For example, audio- or video-embedding, in books, isn't available to self-publishers on Amazon's KDP platform, but is available to self-publishers on iBooks.  Make sure you check with us, before you assume that you can use a certain feature, if you're not sure.  The tables are broken out by Kids' Books, Adult books (like cookbooks, art books, etc.) and Comics. At this time, only Amazon and Comixology have specific formats for comic books, so those are the only two with pricing, but we're holding out hope that other retailers will start creating suitable special formatting requirements for comic-book fans everywhere, soon!
