Seventy-three-year-old Axel Speeter spent his youth as a pro poker player, but these days he’s a taco vendor at the Minnesota State Fair. He has carved out a nice little life for himself. He lives in a Motel 6, he has a couple of fine women working for him–Sophie Roman and her way-sexy daughter Carmen–and he has a quarter million in cash stashed in Folgers coffee cans. Unfortunately, Carmen has acquired a skinhead boyfriend named James Dean, and a burgeoning drug habit. As the fair opens, Carmen and Dean set their sights on Axel’s coffee cans, and Axel finds himself forced to play one more big, deadly hand.
