Sheltered Alberta Rose O’Neill thinks everyone including her parents’ obsession with finding the Lost Lemon Mine is foolish. History shows disaster and misfortune follows all who touch this gold. The legend says the natives put a curse on the mine when it was first discovered, not wanting these people invading their territory. Few people knew where the mine was and even fewer believed it was real. Rose is further amazed when Dale, her father’s adopted son, agrees to lead a group to the mine. In 1900 a group climbs into the Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, led by Dale, who is Rose’s fairy-tale dream of a Knight in Shining Armor taking her away from her cloistered life.
