Don MacDougall is currently enjoying his fourth career as an author. Previously he was a professional musician playing the bass across the United States and Europe, a composer/conductor, and he spent 40 years for studios in Hollywood as sound engineer/mixer. He has worked on ~400 films and television shows and, in addition to receiving several nominations by the Academy and others, in 1978 he won the Academy Award for Best Sound in a motion picture. The film was Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. "Running Lines" is Don's first novel. He has finished and is in the process of having his second novel, "A Council of the Three", published and is already working on his third novel.
