Diane attended the University of Wisconsin and later received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University at the age of forty. She also has a Master of Arts from Concordia University. Her teaching career spanned twenty years and included reading, writing, and poetry. Other interests include cooking, photography, woodworking, gardening, and travel. Now retired, she is pursuing writing both creatively and educationally. She lives in the Galena Territory in the northwest corner of Illinois with her husband. She has two married children and four amazing grandchildren.
